The fifth season of Code Lyoko is a project for fans to continue the season 4 of the series that was planned before the planned Code Lyoko Evolution. It was created on November 4th, 2009 and aired on YouTube in Spanish with subtitles in English, with 35 planned episodes that have been made only the first and a half of the second. In December 2012, the project was canceled with the airing of Code Lyoko Evolution, but in February 2013 was confirmed the continuation of the fifth season of fans, but without videos.
Story
The fifth season begins after the last episode of season 4, where Sissi rediscovers the supercomputer and falls under X.A.N.A.'s control. Once possessed, she gets scanned (not shown) to have immunity to the return trips to the past, and activates the program twice in order to make X.A.N.A. stronger and places a virus into Aelita. X.A.N.A. also creates a Polymorphic Clone of X.A.N.A.-William (although he's destroyed in the fourth episode).
Jeremy changes Odd's uniform to his old uniform, but without marks on the forehead, and gives him unlimited laser arrows. William helps the fight against X.A.N.A.'s monsters, X.A.N.A.-William and X.A.N.A.-Sissi. X.A.N.A. creates another Replika (the Mountain Replika), which is destroyed. Towards the middle of Season 5, we discover that X.A.N.A. lives in the center of the Digital Sea, in a Replika called Xanadu. Now the group have to rescue Sissi, and destroy Xanadu and X.A.N.A.
Another novelty is the use of the Translation from Lyoko to a place near the Factory's Supercomputer, by docking the Skid at any tower on Lyoko and then activating that tower. The first time that Lyoko-Warriors use this new feature is in "Translation to Kadic".
William and X.A.N.A.-William leave the series in "William vs William": X.A.N.A.-William is destroyed, while William left school (but he visits Kadic in an episode called "William Visits Kadic"). Meanwhile, Sissi is under the control of X.A.N.A.
